The challenge

The legacy site took eleven seconds to return search results and fell over during every campaign spike.

What we did

A rebuilt search layer with pre-computed availability indexes and Redis caching, a Next.js front end, autoscaling on Kubernetes, and a dynamic pricing engine with per-market currency handling.

The outcome

Search results in under 400 ms at the 95th percentile
Held 14,000 concurrent users through a campaign with no downtime
Lighthouse performance score of 96 on mobile
